The cool breeze, from my bedroom window, woke me up to the most delightful sight.
I thought that the man of my dreams was caramelising the top of a Creme Brulee, but this sight was just as good.

The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden was one of those stand out book memories that I have. I once received the Secret Garden colouring in book, and I'm 100% sure the Derwent pencils were sharpened up and up for it.

I picked up this copy at dymocks yesterday, they have 20% off at the moment, and it is simply beautiful. It's annotated and has pictures from past copies and movies.
Jut for Flashback Friday sake, I found this picture a few months back. You were really lucky if you got Derwent Pencils for your birthday!!

Another talented lady.

Jays little Christmas Monster

I found it hard to come up with a design for my 1yr old nephew. Something that wasn't to babyish but yet cute.
This was the end result. I was quite happy and proud.

I've just come back from my Christmas Holidays at the beach, that didn't go long enough and I feel I didn't eat enough either. The one thing I did get enough of was sun. I don't think I'll be wearing a bra for a week.

Breakfast at Blairgowrie Cafe (they have the best chutney and frittata. I think I use half of the jar when ever i'm down. Thanks Kristy!!) and a quick Op Shop made the past 4 days heaven!!
Moca Christmas Morning. He was awake before me!!
Merry Christmas to all. I hope it was good too!
Now its back to work!!

Day 7 - Yeah Baby

I made these last night. They are Zac's Christmas present.
Only two more singlets to complete. I'm thinking the North Plane and the West Plane. So very quick to sew around! Along with two totes, two shirts for Jay and a Mega Moca, I'll be set for Christmas!!

One day off really wasn't enough, so I've decided to get up early for the rest of my week and make the most of the morning. 10am is fair to late to be getting up. The fitzroy bug really has taken over. Blogs craft sleep...there must be something in the water!!

It's currently raining and I can hear thunder!! Perfect conditions for craft!!
I'm back into the blog swing, so expect things to go back to normal!!

Day 4-school

I went to this beautiful boy and his beautiful brothers, end of school play the other night.
It was time for saying good-bye to the grade six students, and many tears flowed over the friends that are moving on.
When I was in grade six our music teacher wrote a song that is still used to this day.

It goes something like this....
"Good-bye Sorrento Primary School,
I'm leaving you behind,
I'm moving on to another School,
New friends I hope to find.
Thank- you to all you teachers,
thank-you for what your done,
We really do believe,
That Sorrento's Number 1.
We have been through a lot together,
Some good times and some bad,
I really do believe that my primary years
Were the best I've ever had.

Day 3-Jolly Moca

I was chatting with customers the other day saying that if all else fails you can use your children/pets .
I once received our friends little boys feet and hand prints pressed into plaster. Finished off with glitter it looked great and I still have it hanging 9years later.
I guess this 7 day blog commitment may bring out 7 pictures of Moca.
Since ho ho ho has been banned woof woof woof could be better?!
Ok maybe not...I'm all for the ho!!
Day 4- and i'm on day three!!

Day 2

I met a girl on Wednesday whos.....
name was brooke
worked in a similar job
and who picked flowers from the same spot as me.
I don't think shes a stalker. Sometimes coincidence's happen and I guess this is one.
I picked these on my midnight walk home from dinner (which was so so good and I wish to be able to cook like her one day)
Day 2 - I'm now running a little late for work.

Day 1

Oh I'm glad he shows so much love for craft!! Like mother like son. This photo just makes me squirm.
I just returned from a surprise visit from my big sister Ruby and her two beautiful boys Zac and Jay. I hung onto Zac for way to long. Shop assistants saying 'oh he is so cute, how old, what is his name. To me having to point out the he isn't mine but don't we just look so cute together!!
And now I can't wait for dinner. My lovely friend is cooking up the BEST dinner tonight.
Oh bring on 8pm!!

fitzroy has made me blog lazy

Christmas shopping just sends me in a spin. I sit thinking and wasting time writing lists once then twice then changing my mind half way though!!
Oh then I get side tracked and I start buying things for myself that weren't part of the 'to get list'. At the same time I think you need to buy yourself 'i only got three presents on my list present'. Such things are above and by fair my favourite, the Tatty Devine Toadstool Brooch.

My favourite part of the day, ducks that came running at my very yuk lamington from David Jones. Have you heard of the word fresh?!
And yes I was once a once a day blog writer and since the move from b to f it has lacked some what....so what i'm going to do about it is write a blog a day for the next week. Look I hope it happens as much as a good lamington being produced at David Jones. I mean they used to be good...I just wonder what happened??

Flashback Friday

I remember loving to iron my day of the week hankies!!
My mum ironed all of our clothes when we were little. Right down to the nickers I'm wearing in this shot.
I don't iron any item of clothing. The only time you will find me at the ironing board is at stitching nights or when I need a straight edge on some fabric.
