This is...my favourite op shopping finds

All of the things on this shelf!

The Ceramic Salt and Pepper Shaker Cats.
They didn't come as a pair!
They were found at two completly different op shops!
What are the chances of me find the right one, the second time?!

Then the owl was found at my favourite op shop around the corner from my old house in Gardenvale.

Tea Cup was found from my first every tip to the Salvos on Vic St

The Large brown Sausage Dog was op shopped from pip.
They other little guys from Kirsty.

Find more this is with three buttons.
Thank to Lino Forest.

Mikes Sunday Supper

Wild Orange Mushrooms with Avocado
Mikes Sunday Supper
1. mushrooms, 2. YUM Mushrooms

Ok so maybe this is more of a breaky thing, but I could eat Mushrooms and Avocado on Toast all day!

This is how I like to do it.

Roughly chop up the mushrooms
Add some Butter to the frying pan
Put the mushrooms in.
(the great thing about these big wild guys is that they self sauce themselves. So just a little bit of butter to start and if you feel you need more put more in)
While they are cooking pop some bread into the toaster.
The Sunday Supper host makes some nice looking bread!
Once it has popped up spread with avocado.
The Mushrooms should be done now, so crack some pepper over them and just a little bit of salt and put them on top of your Avocado toast and EAT!!

You could also add these guys to a basic Risotto Recipe too.

Happy Sunday Supper Making.
Thank you Meet Me at Mikes

Dachshund

photo via here

Photo via here

photo via here

I think I shocked a couple of people yesterday when I showed a photo of a Sausage dog that didn't look like Moca.
So I thought I would share with you the three different variety's of Dachshunds.

1st up the Short Hair/Smooth Hair

Photo via here
This is what Moca is.
They come in Mini and Standard.
They have ears like velvet and a shinny coat like a seal.
People will ask you what you use and you reply 'it's all natural darling'!

2nd is Wired Haired

Photo via here
Harsh to touch but worth the spike.
These little guys are loved for there beard and bushy eyebrows!
They come in Standard and Mini too!

3rd is the Long Haired

Photo via here
These guys are pretty fancy!
If you want your dog to look like his tummy is dragging on the ground, then I would go with the long hair.
How to achieve this...don't cut them!
Mini and Standard like the rest.
My favourite long haired sausage dog is Penny.

Sausage dogs come in many colors too.
Black and Tan, Red, Black and Cream and Wild Boar!

If you need to know more on these funny little dogs, you should head over here.
for all of your Dachshund Q's and A's

On my desk...new friend

This little Cat came to visit our house today.
My housemate told me he arrived at about 1.30 and he is still here.
He was sitting on my desk, but is now currently making himself at home on the couch.
He doesn't like dogs. So moca isn't too happy with his down grade to outside living, until he goes home!
I wonder when he will go home?
I wonder if he has a home?
Maybe the tuna I gave him is better than whiskers and he will stay for ever.
I like him alot!

I really like this guy

I like these two...

This is...the space in which I create

I also sleep in this space too!
It's pretty messy, but very organised in my eyes.
Hopefully one day I will have a room which is dedicated to craft!
Until then I'm pretty happy with what I have.
Thanks to Three Buttons for her This is love!

Sausage Dog Vase

This little vase came all the way from Ballarat.
The antiques store had it for $20. Even with my wish to have the largest collection of Sausage Dog Items, I just couldn't convince myself to buying it.

We Swing Danced down the road to a shop that was having a MEGA Sale!
"Everything half price if not more", I was told as I was scouting through the fabric section.
I was in heaven!!
Then I came across the same vase that was at the Antiques shop up the road.
I picked it up, looked at the $8 price tag and was practically Krumping with joy!!

This little posy came from the ladies at the Farmers Market.
Just delightful and the perfect size I think!

farmers market

Collingwood Childrens Farm
With only one day off, you really have to make the most of it!
I'm very lucky that I live so extremely close to such a great place, The Collingwood Childrens Farm.
Today was the farmers market.
Lots of great earthy produce to make your tummy rumble!
The best part for me, buying a coffee and egg and bacon pie and feeding the horses a bag of carrots! I also bumped into Cath and her daughter. It was great to see you both!
While the day is still young i should get some things done.
Have a great weekend.

Come as you were

Like any one I guess, I love the discovery of new music.
I find it hard to pick music when I'm at work as I'm not all that sure that everyone will like it, apart from me.
So what does a good boss do. They make a play list with music that they think you will like.
This was part of my play list.
Come as you were by The Bird and the Bee.
Pop into Mikes for the full Version!
