Me: In high school me and my friend Emma tried growing our leg hair long enough to plait it!
Moca: I tried to break brooke's computer so she could spend more time with me!
Me: I love having salt water hair and also scratching my head after i've been to the beach and watching the salt fall out.

This favourite book

Possum Magic is my favourtie book.
I remember sitting cross legged in front of Mr Satori 18years ago and listening to this book for the very first time.
So very Australian.
Full of Lamingtons and Pavlova and Vegemite Sandwiches.
I love how nostalgic I feel when thinking about it. Almost a little teary.
I think I need to buy a copy to love once again!

Moca is finally back from a huge 1month holiday at the beach.

I personally think that he thinks they are giant sausage dogs!

i like this type of sowing - Whats on my desk

I love getting in the garden.
I think of my grandparents house and also Mr Pryor when I do.
Mr Pryor was our friend who lived up the street from us when we were kids. He had the most amazing fern garden. When ever he went away on holidays, I would be the one who was trusted to look after his garden. I guess the half a can of coke and packet of chips, sometimes two, made him the first place to visit when we returned home from school. He also told me and my brother the most amazing and special stories from his childhood and he cared for us as if we were his own grandchildren too.
Being left with the responsibility of taking care of something so special is the greatest feeling of trust you can give. He was kind loving and funny and he taught me how to build a brick wall!!

Then My grandparents house. Two story Weather Board house with Hydranders lining either side. And Rose bushes. Rose Bushes that would touch the sky. Well in the mind of a 7yr old they did. My Pa loved his garden and I feel that his love has been passed onto me!
So todays Gardening was for Pa and for Mr Pryor. The two people who's appreciation for nature has influenced me a lot! Thow I still don't like spiders.

A horse is a horse

Lady Bird and I took a little ride around our hood today.
I'm lucky enough to live just up the road from the Abbotsford Convent and the Collingwood Children's Farm.

These guys are my new friends and have a rather funny way of telling you if your taking too long to pick the grass.

Your my current hero.
I don't know where your hiding, or maybe where i have been hiding (thank you ariO) but I'm 100% in LOVE with your work!
He has work in melbourne too!
There is something about the boy on the bull that makes me happy.
Maybe it's that the negative space has been transformed into something unique.
Look him up...he is worth the knowledge.

Landry or Laundry

The only perk of the washing machine breaking.
The feeling of being some where else, yet I was 2mins from the house. I loved it!
I was imagining what it was like in its hey day. Lots of women chatting and gossiping about life.
The walk home with 20kg of wet clothes wasn't much fun. I was doing the two step!
Not even Lady Bird could have manged it in her basket.
Oh and I really did love the name under the lid!
She really lived up to it too!!
Happy Sunny Sunday
