We have a new house!!!
Finally we have found something that is big enough for all of my stuff....I'm serious....I'm currently living in the smallest room I have ever lived in. My stuff spills into every corner of the house, my sewing machine is always packed away ready to be moved.
I'm really excited about the yellow walls in the kitchen and the windows in my bedroom and the letter slot in the door!!
I'm excited about the new beginnings and decorating!! Kitty I'm open to some Interior Decorating ideas of yours!
Crafty Drinks last night was lovely...so many lovely like minded people to chat and giggle with.

29th Feb 2008 was a good one

Such a lovely day.
Helped out a friend.
Did a photo shoot.
Visited for the very first time Thread Den, Arthur's Circus and Kids in Berlin.
Had a Drink in a Fo Beer Garden, then another two at Seamstress, where the Aesop products are a nice treat.
Best Friend visiting from Adelaide. So much to catch up on.
But what is really exciting me is being able to see That Girls, 70 stitch sewing machine in the flesh.

It is amazing and really really easy!
It's so good that I'm going to have my 4th bowl now and my 5th and 6th for dinner!!

Pretty Bird

I was pulled over by the police yesterday. I was bad. I didn't have a helmet on. 55dollar fine. But this is a warning. Policeman distracted by the current installation on Lady Birds Basket. Ceramic Deers, Stamps, Fake Flowers, Swap Cards, Measuring Tape and Dress Zip. I'm sure there is more. So I continued on my journey. Stop at this Little Salon and spent the fine money with 11dollars to spare. This brooch has a story.

With a pattern and a good teacher....

I made my very first dress.
It made me appreciate pattern makers, time, dress makers (even more) and people who are very patient!!
I was all grumpy and stumblingly last night...but today... I fell like I could make another 3 !!
The pattern was from spotlight, fabric from lincraft, where I finally had the courage to tell a lady that had pushed in front of me that "I think I was next". Tough I know but it worked!!

It's taken some time to find a frame that would fit this print. So when I walked in the door all sure it would fit...it was too big! So...I cut out some giant gingham, wrapped it around the backing board, shoved the photo in and Voila!! I had crack and it worked out!!

I needed a wall filler

I love tuna....what isn't so good is that all of my favourite cafes near work are closed on Sundays....this left me with the above photo for lunch...which was really yummy and I shared it with two super cute dogs called Snoopy and Lucky.
Tuna is one of my all time favourite foods!!

She was kind enough to let me dive into her scrap fabric suitcases.
This lovely lady gave me some guidance....

I'm quite proud as this was my very first go at making a quilt.

I've misplaced what I need...

This does happen from time to time....what drives me crazy is think of all the places that I have seen it, then going to those places and it not being there.
Most of the time it's my house mate cleaning up my stuff and putting it in a place that I would never look. Maybe its her own form of Ocd or maybe it' s me not being tidy enough.

Anyway what I did manage to find was an interview on Victoria Mason here. Her craftsmanship is so very detailed and unique and I'm surrounded by such beauty everyday at work.

....but maybe I still have a lot of love for the Pencil shaving too.
